In the first part of the workshop, we'll dive into setting realistic expectations for your project. We will explore the relationship between time, cost, and scope. This includes helping you identify the major cost centres in a renovation and balancing your functional, aesthetic, and sustainability goals for your renovation.

This will be followed by a comprehensive guide on how to choose your project team, guiding you through both architect-led and builder-led paths. We will clarify the process for each method, from briefing, design, securing authority approvals, to preparing for onsite construction.

This hands-on workshop is designed to empower you to make informed decisions about your renovation project.

Please note that this workshop is ideal for people considering an extension or significant internal renovation. It is not suitable for small-scale renovations, such as kitchen or bathroom transformations.

All workshop materials will be provided, along with a light morning tea. No prior renovation or construction knowledge is needed, just bring your curiosity and a readiness to learn.

Participants will be asked to complete our Briefing Questionnaire prior to the workshop to reflect on their renovation ahead of time.
